Closing California’s Education-Skills Gap

If trends keep up, in 2025 California may have nearly one million fewer college-educated workers than it needs to maintain the Golden State’s vital economic growth and promote prosperity. This 2009 report by the Public Policy Institute of California, “Closing the Gap,” lays out a set of modest state investments that could increase the number of college graduates and cut this gap in half.
